The CeFoNa Research Consortium

The Centre for Food Safety and Naturopathy (CeFoNa), hosted in the Institute of Food Bioresources Technology, is one–of-a-kind applied food science research consortium comprised of Dedan Kimathi University of Technology and the food industry with the following Key Mandates:

  • Coordination of food safety and naturopathy research relevant to Kenya under the Institute of Food Bioresources Technology.
  • Commercialization of products rich in bioactive compounds, including Chia and Oyster mushroom products
